3.PROSTATE CANCER MEDICATIONS

Naturapia - Prostata is a composition of ingredients traditionally used to reduce urological symptoms that occur in the 1st and 2nd stage of benign prostate hypertrophy. Drug administration facilitates voiding and reduces the postvoid residual urine volume. It reduces urinary frequency and urination at night, as well as the sensation of urgency.

Naturapia - Prostata is a drug combining two vegetable compounds: extract of saw palmetto (Serenoa repens 160 mg) fruits and nettle root (Urticae radix 250 mg), with addition of vitamin B6 (6,5 mg), zinc (10 mg) and amino acids (L-alanine 66,6 mg, L-glycine 66,6mg, L-glutamic acid 66,6mg).

The extract of saw palmetto and nettle root alleviate symptoms related to increased urinary frequency and weak urine flow. Zinc inhibits excessive
stimulation of the prostate by androgens. Vitamin B6 facilitates zinc absorption. Amino acids are found in prostate secretion and play a role in maintenance of normal prostate function by contributing to the reduction of prostate cell swelling.

4. COMMENT ON PSA BY PAUL BEHRENDS: Reading in a health newsletter, I noted a comment that recent findings indicated that the PSA could be elevated by a number of routine activities...especially things that cause impacts to the groin area. One of the activities was bicycle riding.  When I discussed it with the urologist, he confirmed that this is a known cause of elevated readings. So...if you're going to get a PSA test, I would suggest not riding a bike, motorcycle or horse for a week before the test. There may be other activitieswhich would produce the same result.
